Welcome to Horley Methodist Church

Five minutes from London Gatwick Airport

Minister: Rev Christine Keyte

The church is more than just a building; it is a living community that has many members with a diversity of gifts. This web page is very much a part of that. As you view these pages you will find a range of different activities and people. Here at Horley Methodist Church, we desire and strive together to better live out what it means to be a Christian in today's world. Our focus and hopes as a church are directly related to the experiences we have had as we walk together as a congregation. Friendships are a big part of who we are. Our sense of responsibility to our wider community is challenging us to service through our church development program.

As we as a congregation grapple with what it really means to go "into all the world and preach the good news to all creation – Mark 16:15 NIV”, we are striving to use our different gifts and to work together to make a difference in Christ. As a visitor to this webpage, my prayer is that you will give Him all the glory!

Thought for the Day
  • Isaiah 46:4 (09-10-10)
[The Lord says,] "Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

    Isaiah 46:4 (NIV)

    Thoughts on Today's Verse...

God will not forget us when we're in trouble or when we are old. We may outlive our friends and be forgotten by those who know us, but God will never leave us or forsake us. He will sustain, carry, protect, and rescue us.

    My Prayer...

Thank you, my Father, for promising to never forget me. Because of your faithfulness to your children of old, I know I can trust your promise to never leave me. I trust that no matter where I am or where I go, you will go with me. In Jesus' name I offer my heartfelt thanks. Amen.

Daily Wisdom

  • James 4:13-15 (09-10-10)
Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."

    James 4:13-15 (NIV)
